Kaptanoğlu Şirketler Grubuna ait 23 bin 77 GRT'luk ENGİN KAPTANOĞLU adlı dökme yük gemisi İtalya'nın Gaeta Limanı'nda 5 gün, Gökalp Denizciliğe ait, 1871 GRT'luk NİYAZİ GÖKALP adlı kuruyük gemisi Malta'nın Valetta Limanı'nda 4 gün, Alara Denizcilik'e ait 3 bin 259 GRT'luk PERGAMON isimli gemi ise İspanya'nın Castello De La Plana Limanı'nda 5 gün tutuklu kaldı.
ENGIN KAPTANOGLU, NIYAZI GOKALP, PERGAMON isimli Türk gemilerinin tutuklanması ile birlikte, Avrupa limanlarında tutulan Türk bayraklı gemi sayısı 36 olurken, tutulma sayısı 38'a yükseldi.
