İnce Denizcilik'e ait 18 bin 596 GRT'luk MERVE İNCE isimli Türk bayraklı kuru yük gemisi, Almanya'nın Hamburg Limanı'nda 3 gün tutuklu kalırken, Gülcem Denizcilik'e ait 5985 GRT'luk İBRAHİM G isimli kimyasal tanker, İtalya'nın Cenova Limanı'nda 4 gün tutuldu.

Paris Memorandumu çerçevesinde, 1 Ocak 2008-12 Mart 2008 tarihleri arasında, Avrupa limanlarında 143 Türk bayraklı gemi PSC müfettişleri tarafından kontrole tabi tutulurken, 7 Türk bandralı gemi eksikliklerden dolayı tutuklandı.
